Definition of: PopulismEdit

Populism is a doctrine in politics that appeals the demands of the general populace in the country. It is based on rhetoric other than realistic principles and can be used as a opportunistic way for xenophobic leaders to gain foothold in power. Populists are as close to the principles of Nazis just at a less extreme level. They exploit the change of beliefs of the populace within the state under economic crisis to obtain their power this way. They are anti-elitist and normally speak on the political rant of being anti-capitalist therefore leaning to some form of fascist or national socialism political development. Populism is found to be very ineffective.
